  Nice pub a drink with decent decor and a large car park if needed.
  
  Food is a big disappointment and has definitely gone downhill based on last time I went. Menu sounds promising enough but some of the poorest tasting pub food I've had in a while. Certainly not cheap either.

  Rude manager. Despite asking if dogs were welcome even if their paws were a bit muddy we were told they were and to just sit in the tiled floor area by a lovely waitress - which we did. But the woman behind the bar was incredibly rude but only after she'd taken the money for our large food order. Definitely won't be going back. Other staff were lovely but the 'manager' needs some customer service training particularly when you call beforehand and they tell you they are so dog friendly! Didn't seem to mind muddy locals either.

  lovely pub and interior. that's where it ends.
  staff were pleasant enough but had no sense of urgency. drinks left on the bar for 10 minutes at a time and not brought to the table, not even half full or busy, so I got up and collected them each time. the wait for food and between courses was dire. salmon over cooked, chips undercooked, avocado like mush (I guess it's stored in water to prevent browning and was saturated and tasteless), minimal lobster in the prawn cocktail, burnt garlic bread... to name a few issues. shame.
